Rod Kings

Wow, what a hot week we have had.  I loved the break that we finally got just to get hit with another heat wave.  I really think I should look for a house up north to get away from the heat.  Oh why, oh why did we ever move south?

Since there was so much heat during the week that we had to get out over the weekend a little.  We were invited by Laura, a girl that Sam works with, to a cookout at their house.  Mind you she did tell Sam that it was a hot rod cookout (her husband builds hot rods), then Sam told me, so we had to go!!!!  Did I ever mention that I LOVE cars?  While we were there I got to do a photo shoot of the cars and Gavin sang karaoke...my child sang in a microphone.  He is something else, let me tell you.  I have such a fear of doing anything in front of people but my child is fearless.  I love it!

We also had some friends that were having a garage sale so we decided to crash their house and ended up staying for lunch.  I hope they made enough money for their new TV!!!!!!  They are thinking of moving home to Minnesota (maybe I will go visit for the summers) and a flat screen sure would be a lot easier to move than a big box. 

We rounded out the weekend with a dinner of fresh veggies and good company.  Then the rain came, and came, and came.  The rain was so nice.  It cooled everything off and we really needed it.  Here is to hoping the rain comes again on these hot days to cool us off.  Do you like the heat?
