The title sums it up folks. Our life has been hectic over the past couple of weeks. Between baby showers, cupcakes, sewing, playing cars, and getting spit up on...I have not had much time to get on here. So here is your update.
Last Sunday we had a baby shower for our friend Tiffany...we love you Tiff. It was a LOT of fun. You know if I am saying this (me around a lot of women) then it really was fun. I was so pleased that I got to help with the food and cupcakes. I LOVE helping with showers and parties...it gives me a chance to make things that I normally don't (since we are kind of picky eaters). I made a watermelon/tomato salad with some fresh basil, shredded cheese, and balsamic vinegar as well as chicken salad. Now the cupcakes...I have to say I was very proud of the way they turned out.
We also had a trip to the farm. We met our friends there to let the boys run off some energy while we got our sweet corn fix. Eliza slept through almost everything but the boys sure had a good time between the petting zoo, the barrel tractor cars, the horses, and the fields of soybeans.
We also had a picnic in the park with the same friends. It was great fun until a black cat decided it wanted to go home with someone. It sure wasn't going to be either of our houses since we already have cats. It was very sweet though. Gavin was very excited to have a picnic at the park. It had to be excitement for what it was because we had peanut butter sandwiches and fruit for lunch. Nothing special except for his juice drink that Aunt Jody brought (he talked about that juice drink for the whole day...great things in life really are in small packages). I have to say the iced caramel mochas from mcd's were pretty good too.
This was her first kiss. Watch out daddy...she liked this boy |
