We have had a few birthdays to celebrate around here so here we go...
Aunt Marilynn...LOVE her...she is super cool (and she is only 30 :)
Chase...he hit the big 16 this year...watch out when you are driving in Columbus!
Taylor (girl)...yes I have to specify...specially to Gavin. This is our neice. She is the sweetest thing you would ever meet.
Janice!!!!! Grandma J turned 75 years young!!! To me that is quite the achievement. She even lived around Woodstock, New York. This is one of my inspirational women. She was in the military (mind you...in a time when it was not common), she raised two children as a single mother!!!, she has a loom (really she has two), she has traveled A LOT, and she just has some sticking cool stuff in her house.
Rob...my father in law. Not really sure how old he is...but he acts like he is 25 most of the time. You only live once so I guess you better make it good.
JUDY...happy birthday to my other mother. I love Judy like she has been there my whole life. We are two peas in a pod. Now let me tell you, we always loved each other but living in a house with one bathroom does not always make for the best of times with two girls. Neither one of us is very into all the girl stuff, but we did enjoy our showers! Most of you know Judy and she is just a joy to have in your life. She is always so outgoing, I mean this woman biked 15 miles on her birthday. That makes me tired just typing it. Seriously if people do have a color about them, Judy's is yellow...bright, shiny, friendly, full of hope and love.
Taylor (boy)...he is turning 13. Wow my youngest cousin is a teenager...way to make me feel old.
Hobie...he will be eating lemon icebox pie a couple days after his birthday. That makes me smile...since I will be there to get some too. He is also my sidekick when it comes to liking all the Hello Kitty stuff out there. (I have no pictures of him)
Sidnee...you will see pictures of her soon enough. We did her 2 year pictures and they turned out so cute! She is our little blessing in the family (not that the rest of the kids aren't), but she came on a very important day, my grandfather's birthday. She will never know him...along with her cousins...but she was born on the same day that a very great man was born on.
Finally...this is a super important birthday.
GRANDMA MILES
This is the woman who opened her home to me when my parents split up. I had gone to grandma's before that for sure, but I lived there after my parents got divorced. I went to school in different town and so I would catch the bus, and get off the bus at her house. I would spend every summer there. She always made you birthday dinner (thank you for the great idea). She came to almost all of my concerts (that was a lot!!!). She let us use her house as a gathering place. She taught me to cook, sew, garden, paint, and may other things. This is the woman I hope to grow up to be. She always took care of you when you were sick...and you never got to take care of her because she was hardly ever sick! I admire this woman so much that I cannot express. Everyone has someone like this in their life and most of my friends from home all think of her the same as I do. She is one strong woman and that is and inspiration to all. We love you grandma!
