Family

So as you all know, we have a crafty family.  So I decided to take pictures of the kids with a few of the cool things they have gotten.

Gavin got this super cool car mat from his great grandmother Evelyn.  It even has garages for the cars.  We are quite obsessed with it right now.

Both of these came from Aunt Linda who works her magic at Ben Franklin.  Gavin's is a picture frame but we can't bare to put pictures in it.  We told her this after we were prego with Eliza so she made the hers a little different.

This is the quilt that Eliza got for Christmas this year.  Evelyn did an amazing job on it.  I am not sure that Eliza will get this quilt when she moves out of the house at some point.
Now this is a wall hanging from Aunt Ann.  She does this really cool thing of putting pictures onto fabric.  Eliza posed with hers and Gavin posed with both of his.

This is the blanket that Aunt Angela made for Miss Eliza.  It just happens to match her room colors perfectly.
Here is Gavin with his alphabet quilt from Evelyn and his Old Mac Donald quilt.

Then we have the full size Very Hungry Caterpillar quilt from my mom.
He also has a Old Mother Goose quilt made by my Grandma Miles.  This boy is not hurting for quilts.  He does love them all.

There are a few things that I was not able to get pictures of.  Gavin has a super cool tee pee that he got for the Christmas before.  It comes out in the spring and/or when he has some friends over.  I also did not get pictures of Eliza with the other blankets made for her by my mom's best friend Dee and Grandma Janice.  Grandma Janice also did rugs for Eliza...yes she has a large loom in her house.  Too cool.

Now there are only the things made for the kids.  We have a queen over sized quilt for our bed in blues and greens made by Evelyn for our wedding, a throw size wall hanging quilt made by my Aunt Ann for our wedding.  Linda framed our wedding invitation which is amazing.  We also have a Beatles quilt made by my Aunt Ann that hangs out on the couch.  Then Grandma Janice made us a rug that we use in the bathroom and a quilt that she made me years ago when I was at IU.  We also seem to have gotten afghans made by our great grandmothers that we use.  Finally one of the neatest things is that we have a braided rug (yes like you see in so many homes of people that have a few years on us) made by Evelyn.

Well if anyone ever wonders why I like to be crafty, I tend to say it runs in the family.
I will leave you with pig face.
