Finally

So here is our most recent update (with pictures!!!!)

I have recently acquired a new slide converter...THAT I LOVE!!!!  This thing is amazing.  So if anyone needs or knows of someone who needs slides converted, let me know.

I also was able to get some new photo software for the computer.  It is so nice to be updated a bit.  This software is rocking.  Talk about color options.  It has all the different retro options for photo coloring dating to the beginning of film.  It is also geared for restoring color in pictures from slides or scanned pictures.

Now that my little happy dance is done, the kids had some big updates this week.

We started Monday off with a bang.  Sam stayed home with us because the kids had appointments.  We scheduled them at the same time and it TOOK FOREVER!!!  Gavin was great.  He has not done well at the doctor a whole lot after his surgery but he has not been there much after it either.  He is long and lean according to the doctor (we already knew that right).  Well, all of his baby fat is gone.  The boy weighs in at 31 pounds and is standing 40 inches tall.  He is average height and super thin according to the charts.  He did have to have the dreaded booster shots.  It was not fun.  We had the option to put them off for another year but I just really did not see much point in it.  They gave him four shots in the legs.  I tried to contest one of the shots but it is apparently needed to get into school these days unless you want to have a talk with the school.  I really do not see the reason for the chicken pox vaccine though.  I am still not sold on the hepatitis either though.  This however is from a girl that had chicken pox when she was so little that she does not remember any of it...except the crappy clowns in the hospital room.  Long story short, I had the chicken pox...they went away but I had a nasty fever so my parents took me to the hospital.  I was in my room and the clowns scared me.  To this day I quite dislike clowns.

I still don't really understand the fuss with chicken pox.  I know I have a scar from them but I don't think they are that terrible, maybe just annoying.  I can see the vaccine for adults that haven't had them if they want it.  Kind of like hepatitis.  I had to get a shot for it as a teenage because I was exposed but what is the point other than that????

Now miss Eliza had shots too.  She only had to get two since we were just playing catch up.  She also got weighed.  She lost weight.  She is now 23 pounds.  She is also very long.  She is 28 inches long.  So she is in the 90th percentile for both height and weight.  As for the rest of her updates.  This girl is still not crawling.  She has found that rolling every where seems to be a better method.  She also is cutting four teeth right now but I am waiting to see if it might be six.  Might as well do them all at once and get them in.

She has expanded her vocabulary by leaps and bounds.  We are saying bite, bye, hi, hey, dada, avin (for Gavin), mama, and a few others.  If you tell her hi or bye she will wave at you relentlessly.

Now I did think I was in the clear with this kid.  Eliza did not have a heart murmur the way Gavin did but she does have a large cyst on her foot.   We think that might be why she is not crawling.  She wants to walk but does not want to put pressure on that spot so we are getting it removed soon.  We have an appointment with a specialist to see when we can get it done and what all they will want to do with her.  We talked to the doctor Monday about it and decided it was time since she does  not want to crawl.  I was just happy they wanted to go ahead and do this that way we won't impede anymore progress.

We were able to get her nine month pictures taken over the weekend...so I was excited to get them done.  I tried something new for a background so feedback with welcomed with open arms.

I have to say, I knew we were having too much fun when the feet started coming out of the wash tub.

I was just sad that we did not get a picture of pig face yet.  I will leave you with the one that I got of Gavin around nine months old.  I am hoping to get one of her soon so we can have a super funny faced picture of her as well.
